It's a busy week here. Isn't that always the case? Just when you think it's safe to breathe...(insert Jaws music here)...the kids come out of the woodwork. Bwaahahaha. Kidding.
I'm actually enjoying the summer with the kiddos. Granted, a part of that enjoyment may be for the break my checkbook is receiving, but the rest is solely due to the kids just hanging out with nothing pressing on the agenda. Other than doctor appointments, which my children deem me evil for making during summer. Apparenlty, those appointments should be saved for the days they don't want to go to school.
I'm also smiling each time my teen son applies for a job. He cut his hair shorter than it has been since elementary school. He's learning that black jeans and a crisp tee aren't up to interview standards, you know, he's learning everything I nagged him about, but that isn't sinking in until he witnesses it.
I've been checking Craigslist for him, when I see a job that may interest him I forward the link. Email nagging is much better than verbal nagging. Today, while bebopping around Craigslist I found an entry that had me laughing:
learn from a successful model how to make $1 - I haven't clicked the link so I'm sure there's more to it than a dollar, but the title is just too funny. "I'm gonna learn how to make a buck today" heeheehee.
And finally! I'm going home! Okay, so I'm home right now, but I'm going back to the town I grew up in Montana this weekend. I'm leaving the twins and hubby home, but I'm taking the teen so he he'll never again complain of having nothing to do out here. I'll show him what nothing is really like, heeheehee. Funny thing, I don't recall having nothing to do while growing up there. I think he'll enjoy it.
